We are pleased to announce that preparations for the IPHS 2018 Yokohama conference are continuing at full speed and that all is going well. We would like to notify you of several important notices regarding the schedule and publication of papers at the conference.
1. Tentative program of conference released
The organising committee has released the tentative program (ver. 1) of the conference. Please confirm your session for your presentation.
2. Sending back of Peer-review result for full papers:
The academic committee has begun sending back the results of peer-reviewing for full papers. We sincerely apologize for the delay. The authors who are requested to revise their papers have to re-submit a revised paper corresponding to the reviewers’ comment by June 10th via EasyChair system. Please contact the academic committee in case you have not received the result before May 31st.
3. Registration and Payment (due date: May 31st):
The due date for registration for the conference is May 31st. The authors who have not finalized registration and payment of conference fees cannot either give a presentation at the conference or publish their abstracts and full papers. Please do not forget the above two things.
4. Revision of Abstract (due date: 15th June):
The academic committee requested all the authors to revise their abstracts, which were submitted at the end of last year, up until to March 31st. However, some abstracts still remain without enough or any revision. The academic committee will send further request for revision to the affected authors in several days. Please re-submit the revised abstract by following the instruction via EasyChair system before June 15th.
5. Social programs:
The organising committee is continuing to prepare for the excursions (July 19th) and the conference dinner (July 18th) with our collaborators. The opening of submission for these social programs will start on June 15th.
The excursions under arrangement are as follows (tentative):
– Newtown development in Yokohama suburban area
– Historic districts in Tokyo
– Imperial gardens in Tokyo
– Historic town and resort area in Shonan region
We are also planning several evening tour programs on July 17th that visit curious districts in the central area of Yokohama.
The conference dinner on July 18th will be held at a hotel that personifies the history of Yokohama, accompanied by a show in Japanese traditional style.
