Conference Registration Closed

Online registration and payment for conference participation by credit card has been closed. Please ask at the registration desk during the conference to register. We can only accept payments in cash. The registration fee includes lunch, food and drinks during the conference as well as the conference reception. However, online registration for social programs is still available at this moment but it will also be closed 15th, 17:00 JST. After then, the conference desk will accept all the kind of registrations. We are looking forward to seeing you very soon in Yokohama!

Social Program Registration

Thank you for a lot of registrations for the social programs. The organising committee will once close the registration at 17:00 on July 15th in Japan time. After then, you are able to register for that programs at the registration desk during the conference. The registration desk will accept only cash. If you want to pay the fee by credit card, please finalize your payment via the below website before the deadline. Thank you for your understanding. Reception party fee is included in “Standard fee”, “Reduced fee” and “Accompanying person fee” of the conference registration, and the registrants who have paid one of these category do not have to pay additionally. IPHS 2018 Yokohama offers you an occasion to present your books and articles on planning history to the audience who are likely to be interested in for sure. Especially those who have recently published your books, welcome to join us! “IPHS 2018 Book Talk” will be held in the room 9 of the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall from 13:45 to 14:45 (business meeting time) on July 17th. Each presenter have 5 minutes to introduce their books. We also offer you an exhibition table to show your books so please bring in your publications.

From Architectural Ethnography to Planning: Kon Wajiro and Nishiyama Uzōʼs participatory research of everyday space in Japan from the 1910s to the 1970s This exhibition features the achievements of two architects, Kon Wajiro (1888‒1973) and Nishiyama Uzō (1911‒1994). Both worked outside of the prevalent architectural trends of the first half of the twentieth century.
